Not a long time after that, in October 2017, she joined a survival show called Mixnine along with other trainees from her company, FAVE Entertainment. Mixnine is a survival show which aired on JTBC. It’s a show that had Yang Hyunsuk from YG Entertainment searching for talent in other K-pop companies. It included almost 200 contestants from different agencies around South Korea. Shin Jiyoon was one of them. However, Jiyoon was eliminated in an early-round and couldn’t finish the show. But still, the experiences she gained from Mixnine remain in her and made her skills even greater. In 2018, Jiyoon was selected to be one of the members of FAVEGIRLS which included female trainees of Fave Entertainment, the subsidiary company of LOEN Entertainment. However, it didn’t last that long because, in 2019, Jiyoon moved to a new company. Jiyoon then joined Play M Entertainment.
