She obtained the degree of LL.B. in 2001 from Pakistan College of Law, Lahore. A practicing lawyer, who has served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, 2008-13 and functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Culture & Youth Affairs during 2009-11. She has returned to Assembly for the third consecutive term in general elections 2013 against one of the seats reserved for women and is serving as Parliamentary Secretary for Information & Culture. She also functioned as Chairperson, Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs till 17 February 2017. She has travelled to UK, Dubai, Qatar, Iran and Turkey. She was born on 18 August 1976 in Faisalabad to the former Justice of Lahore High Court Syed Zahid Hussain Bokhari. She received her early education from Sheikhupura and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Punjab University. She earned Bachelor of Laws in 2001 from Pakistan College of Law and is practicing as a lawyer. She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on a reserved seat for women in 2002 Pakistani general election. She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PPP on a reserved seat for women in 2008 Pakistani general election. In February 2013, she joined Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N). She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N on a reserved seat for women in 2013 Pakistani general election. She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N on a reserved seat for women in 2018 Pakistani general election. Her husband Sami Ullah Khan is a Pakistani politician who is member-elect of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab. He was born on 17 October 1960 in Lahore, Pakistan.
