On May 5th, 2021, a source from the upcoming KBS drama confirmed, “With the joining of Byun Woo-seok and Kang Mina, we have completed casting for the four lead roles.” Byun Woo-seok plays Lee Pyo, who is tall, handsome, and talented in martial arts and fine arts, but doesn’t like books or studying. He is a crown prince who neglects his duties, and becomes an alcoholic, often sneaking out of the palace to drink illegally. Moonshine tells the story of the lives of young people in the Joseon era when the prohibition against alcohol was in full swing.
