BTS’s Jung-kook’s Driving License
Many people were shocked when they watched BTS’s Bon Voyage Season 3. This was because of the golden maknae Jungkook. In 2018, BTS went to Malta for a vacation and they recorded their activities for the Bon Voyage program. BTS ARMY were very surprised because, in the program, the youngest member namely Jungkook was seen driving a car with other members in it. After several years of having a driving license, in 2019, Jungkook was involved in a car accident. Jung-kook reportedly had a car accident at end of October 2019 while driving his Mercedez Benz in Hannam, Yongsan, South Korea. As a result of the accident, it turned out that he was reported to have hit a taxi and also violated traffic rules. Because of this, Jung-kook and the taxi driver who was hit by Jung-kook had to be rushed to the hospital because he had bruises. Police Investigation Of BTS’s Jung-kook’s Car Accident
After the incident, on November 4th, 2019, the Yongsan Police conducted an investigation and will continue this case. The police revealed that when this accident happened, Jung-kook wasn’t drunk. One of the policemen said: “After the medical diagnosis is received or the personal damage is confirmed, Jung-kook will be investigated. Currently, there are no plans to call Jung-kook. Also, Jung-kook was found not to be driving under the influence of alcohol after taking a test.”
BIG HIT Entertainment Responds To BTS’s Jung-kook’s Car Accident
Due to the accident that happened to Jung-kook on October 31st, 2019, and also the police did an investigation for this case, BIG HIT Entertainment as the agency of Jung-kook released an official statement regarding the accident. They revealed that the accident was indeed true and had been experienced by their artist because of Jung-kook’s mistakes of violating the traffic laws. Jung-kook’s agency said: “This is a statement regarding BTS’s member, Jung-Kook’s car accident. The police haven’t closed yet the case, so we can’t reveal the exact details, but Jung-kook was driving his car last week when he had a minor collision with another vehicle due to his own fault. Neither victim nor Jung-kook wasn’t seriously injured.”
BTS’s Jung-kook Apologizes To Fans For Being Involved in The Car Accident
On November 28th, 2019, Jungkook was investigated by the police, Jung-kook and the victim had also made a peace agreement. The agency also stated that the problem had been resolved properly with the victim. However, the police turned out to still entangle him on suspicion of violating two laws. The police said that the peace agreement with the victim wasn’t related to the violation that was committed. Then, on January 23rd, 2020, the case was officially closed by the Seoul prosecutor’s office. Before the case was closed, Jung-kook also apologized to his fans regarding this accident. This can be seen on January 7th, 2020, when BTS bid farewell to New Zealand in the final of Bon Voyage 4. In that episode, he apologizes to ARMY and said how he felt while filming amidst the rumors.
