Nassar was born in Chicago and grew up in Kuwait, before moving back to the United States, in California, in 2009. He was born to Fouad Nassar and Iman Harby, owners of Kuwaiti architectural firm Diwan Interiors International, which has worked with companies such as Citigroup Kuwait, JW Marriott and Mercedes Benz. He first began riding at the age of five and jumping at ten. Nassar has published that, on his Instagram page, many times, he is always proud to say that he’s been an equestrian since day one. Nassar is a graduate of Stanford University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford in 2013. On 29 January 2020, Nassar and Jennifer Gates, daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates, announced their engagement. They married on 16 October 2021 in Westchester County, New York. Nayel Nassar is an award-winning Egyptian-American professional equestrian and showjumper based in San Diego, California. He became famous for dating billionaire Bill Gates’ daughter. His favorite travel destination is his hometown Kuwait. Nayel Nassar attended the American School of Kuwait for high school and he attended college at Stanford. He is a professional showjumper and played a major role in securing Egypt’s spot at the 2020 Olympics Games in Tokyo. Nayel graduated from Stanford with a degree in Economics in 2013 and is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. Both Jennifer and Nassar are graduates of Stanford University, but they did not attend school together. Nassar’s wife Jennifer began her college career in 2014 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. Nayel Nassar started his equestrian sport at age five and began jumping at ten. He qualified for the FEI World Cup Finals in 2013, 2014 and 2017, and the FEI World Equestrian Games in 2014. Most recently, he competed at the Longines FEI World Cup Finals in Paris aboard Lordan and regularly competes on the international Grand Prix circuit. He is known as a professional showjumper who played a major role in securing Egypt’s spot at the 2020 Olympics Games in Tokyo. It will be the first time in 60 years that Egypt to have equestrian team at the Olympics. In October 2019, the Egyptian team official qualified for the Games after winning the CSIO4* Nations Cup competition in Rabat, Morocco.
