Let’s start with Yezi’s full profile and general information! Yezi was born in Gangneung, Gangwon-do, South Korea on August 26, 1994. Currently, she’s 25 years old for international age, but she’s 26 years old for Korean age. And also, Yezi’s nationality is Korean.She was born with the real name Lee Ye-ji, and chose Yezi for her stage name. Yezi’s zodiac sign is Virgo. For her weight, it was reported that Yezi’s weight was 44 kg, meanwhile her height was 159 cm. While she was teenager, she was educated at Kang Won-rae Dance School. She also used to be a backup dancer for some artists such as Park Mi-kyung and Hong Kyung-min. Actually, her parents weren’t going to allow her to become an artist, but after Yezi assured her parents about her dream, eventually her parents gave in to her dreams.

Yezi’s Early Career and Becoming a Fiestar Member
as previously mentioned, while Yezi was a teenager, she had already become a backup dancer for some artists. She also went to a dance school and learned from several dancer0,s as well. When she moved to Seoul in her second year of middle school, Yezi finally joined an audition at LEON Entertainment. One of the trainees in LEON Entertainment saw Yezi’s dancing and singing video through Cyworld. At that time, her video had become popular and gained a lot of attention. It also led her to join the audition in LEON Entertainment. After she got accepted, Yezi became a trainee for three years, and debuted as a Fiestar member in 2012. For almost six years, Yezi and the rest of Fiestar’s members went through a lot of ups and downs. They released a collaboration with the famous singer IU even before their official debut, and it successfully became a hit single. The Sea of Moonlight single made it into the top ten on the Gaon Chart . Meanwhile, Yezi’s official debut with Fiestar through the single Vista also gained a lot of positive reactions and success, as well. They also released several mini albums, such as Black Label in 2015 and A Delicate Sense in 2016. For A Delicate Sense, all of the members also participated in the production for the mini album, as well. In the same year, Fiestar released the single Apple Pie, which was their latest single before their disbandment in 2018. In 2015, Yezi participated in a competition-survival show, Unpretty Rapstar 2! Basically, Unpretty Rapstar was kind of a competition show which was focused on female rappers to show off their rapping skills. Yezi joined the second seasons of the show! During Unpretty Rapstar 2, Yezi started becoming really famous after her performance of Crazy Dog. The viewers of Unpretty Rapstar 2 were starting recognize her even more, and admire her, as well. Unfortunately, Yezi was eliminated in the 8th episode. But luckily, she came back to Unpretty Rapstar 2 for a semi-final round after she succesfully won a revival round. She has also released some solo singles during the competition show, such as Solo and Listen Up. Both of the singles were featured, respectively with Jay Park, Loco, and Hanhae, as well. Then she also revealed her final thoughts about appearing on Unpretty Rapstar 2. She thought that it was such a good experience, she even considered appearing in another Unpretty Rapstar season along with other Fiestar members, as well.
