Lime’s Debut as a Member of Viva Girls
Before debuting as a Hello Venus member, Lime almost debuted as a member of Viva Girls. Viva Girls should have debuted in 2012, but their agency, Media Line, had financial issues and eventually had to go bankrupt. At that time, the girls who were supposed to be members of Viva Girls were 9muses’s Kyungri, Dalshabet’s Woohee, Stellar’s Hyoeun, and WJSN’s Exy and Seola. So, all these girls had left their respective groups for Soyumi, a member of the now disbanded group Kiss & Cry. However, in the end, the group did not come to fruition and all members left the company. In fact, they have been training to prepare for their debut but unfortunately, their debut never happened and all the members left the agency. Still, many netizens regretted that; if they were in the right agency, Viva Girls could have become a pretty famous girl group at that time. Lime’s Debut as a Member of Hello Venus
After deciding to leave Media Line, Lime joined Tricell Media and in 2012 she debuted with other girls, Alice, Nara, Yoo Ara, Yoonjo, and Yooyoung as Hello Venus. They debuted with the lead single “Venus” from their debut extended play of the same name on May 9th, 2012. In July 2014, Fantagio and Pledis ended their Tricell Media joint venture. Yooara and Yoonjo remained under Pledis, with the other four members continuing their group activities under Fantagio. In October 2014, Fantagio introduced two new members, Seoyoung and Yeoreum. In Hello Venus, Lime occupied the position of a rapper, playing dancer, and lead vocalist. Hello Venus was officially announced with a teaser image, along with the opening of an official website. The final group, consisted of six members, containing two members from Pledis, Yoo Ara and Yoonjo, and four members from Fantagio, Alice, Nara, Lime, and Yooyoung. Hello Venus released their debut mini-album, Venus on May 9th, 2012, with a total of four tracks including the lead single “Venus.” On December 20th, 2014, the Entertainment agency announced the group’s comeback with the release of their fifth digital single “Wiggle Wiggle,” a song produced by Brave Brothers.
