Fareeha Idrees is a renowned anchorperson and journalist. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan. She got fame as anchorperson for her, current affairs program ‘News Beat’. She went to University of Westminster, London for her Master’s degree in Broadcast and Print Journalism. Fareeha initiated her journalism career from well-read and renowned women’s magazine in United Kingdom. She has worked for The Guardian, BBC, Channel 4, The Daily Mirror, Evening Standard and Eastern Eye. She has the credit of writing for various publications in Pakistan and Europe. She remained spokesperson for the Muslim council of Britain. She has worked with CNBC Pakistan as bureau chief and did a prime time show at 8pm ‘Islamabad Sey’. Afterwards she joined Samaa TV in 2011 and took over show ‘news beat’ that took her into limelight. Fareeha Idrees, who was born in Lahore, is a well-known talk show Anchor/Journalist earlier on SAMAA News TV and now on Waqt News TV hosting “Eight PM with Freeha Idrees” show. Fareeha did her Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster, London. She’s been allied with the media industry since the last ten years. She started her career in 2000 and since then has gained fabulous experience as a writer, editor, documentary maker, journalist, producer and now a well-known anchor. In January 2011, Fereeha took over SAMAA’s prime time current affair talk show program News Beat. This program was aired Friday to Sunday from 20:03pm – 21:00pm. Freeha now hosts “Eight PM with Freeha Idrees” on Waqt TV, a serious political show with Fereeha Idrees where the top policy makers of the country analyze news and current events that have shaped the current circumstances of the country. Fereeha’s other attentions include reading literature. Fareeha is also working with the Muslim Council of Britain, Evening Standard, Eastern Eye, Daily Mirror and blogs for The Guardian’s Comment.
