Debut With Cosmic Girls
Cosmic Girls (WJSN) is a girl group by two agencies from Korea and China named Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. It consists of 13 members (10 Korean and 3 Chinese) who are Mei Qi, Exy, Yeonjung, Dayoung, SeolA, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Cheng Xiao, Xuan Yi, Luda, Dawon, Soobin, and Bona. In the group, Bona is the lead dancer, rapper, sub-vocalist, and visual. On February 25, 2016, Bona and her group debuted by releasing their first mini-album Would You Like? with the main tracks “Mo Mo Mo” and “Catch Me”. In this drama, Bona got the lead role for the first time as Lee Jung Hee. Bona co-acted with actor Chae Seo-jin as Park Hye-joo. This drama is set in the 1970s and tells a story of the love and friendship of girl gangs in a high school in Daegu. Bona landed the lead role for the second time in the drama Your House Helper in 2018 which is based on a webtoon. In this drama, Bona played Im Da-young and acted alongside actor Ha Seok-jin who played Kim Ji-woon. This drama tells Kim Ji-woon’s story who is a businessman who then decides to quit his job to become a house helper. He also helps solve the problems of the people who live at his workplaces. In April 2020, Cosmic Girls’ Bona was reported to be dating Monsta X’s Kihyun for 5 years. Both of them are artists under the same agency.
