Bora started her entertainment career at a very early age. In 2005, she played Jang Nara’s child version in the drama Wedding. Bora was the third Cherry Bullet member that was announced by FNC Entertainment. She was announced in October, two months after announcing Yuju and Jiwon. Bora debuted in January 2019 and she was responsible as Cherry Bullet’s main vocalist. She occasionally appeared on radio programs and competed with other girl group vocalists in tvN’s V1. In 2020, she participated in the web drama An Anti-celebrity and sang the drama’s OST Part 1 “Want It.”

Bora joined fellow Cherry Bullet member, Yuju, and other idol trainees in BTS’ Love Yourself Highlight Reel. In the MV series, Bora appeared in the most scenes compared to other girls. BTS’ V prevented Bora when she tried shoplifting in a convenience store. Upon finding out about her intention, she waited outside of the store. Meanwhile, V paid for all the items that she took secretly. She grabbed all the items from V’s hands and left without saying anything. Fans noticed the height difference between V and Bora. Bora’s petite frame and V’s tall figure made them an excellent combination. From Bora’s point of view, looking at V’s height can make their heart fluttered. In other scenes, the two of them become closer and Bora ends up following V. Gradually, Bora is opening herself up and her image changes from a cold and fierce image to a slightly more normal image.
