On September 2, 2019, their agency, Pledis Entertainment, dropped a promotion schedule revealing what kind of teasers fans can expect leading up to the album’s release. About Seventeen’s Latest Studio Album, An Ode
An Ode is the third full-length album by Seventeen. It was released on September 16, 2019, with ‘Poison:Fear’ serving as the album’s title track. ‘Poison:Fear’ is an R&B number with a heavy bass sound. The song will present Seventeen’s yet-unrevealed darkest side, and is expected to appeal to the fans with a completely different look of mature and fatal charm. The 11-track album was produced by the group’s frequent collaborator, Bumzu. It includes the previously released single, ‘Hit,’ as well as a Korean-language version of their Japanese single ‘Happy Ending’. The LP features compositions by members Woozi and Vernon, as well as lyrics by Mingyu, S.Coups, Hoshi, Seungkwan, and Wonwoo. An Ode marks Seventeen’s first full-length release in almost two years, following 2017’s Teen, Age. A video for the track ‘Fear’ was released alongside the LP. Seventeen’s Latest Comeback, Fear
‘Fear’ is an R&B track that was composed and written by Woozi and BUMZU, while members Vernon and S.Coups wrote the rap lyrics. Seventeen released two different teaser music videos. This is one of the first times that SEVENTEEN sings about fear, out of all the various emotions that a person experiences. The group expresses the emotion of fear as a poison that pushes away one’s most beloved people. Watch the music video here!
